A few years ago I discovered a fantastic gallery space at The Old Coach House Antique Centre in my hometown of Louth, Lincolnshire and hired it to do my first solo exhibition.
Following the success of this, I got together with a couple of friends to share the space on a long term basis. When my friends went on to explore other exciting opportunities I decided to take on the space on my own. Now I have my own gallery space, which is something I have always wanted!
My little Gallery has been open for 6 months now and it has allowed me the freedom to curate my own space and showcase my work in my own way. I change, tweak and adjust regularly... I can't leave things too long before I'm itching to have a move around!
My space is at the front left of the entrance to the antiques centre, it has it's own doorway and it's own front window.
Although the centre is staffed I go in regularly and that allows me to meet customers, and gives commission clients the opportunity to make a face to face appointment to discuss bespoke artwork.
